Our company was called for the repair of the Fridge Maytag where customer complained that products in fresh food section are freezing over. When the fresh food section of a Maytag fridge is freezing over, it could be due to various reasons such as a malfunctioning thermistor, a broken damper control assembly, or a faulty temperature control thermostat. A malfunctioning thermistor can misread the temperature, resulting in excessive cooling. A broken damper control assembly may cause improper airflow between the freezer and the fresh food section, leading to overcooling, while a faulty temperature control thermostat may cause the fridge to get too cold. During diagnostics technician found that air damper control needed replacement as it is not closing, therefore it's overfreezing in fresh food section. Replacement of this part fixed the issue.
