Today we repaired a walk-in commercial cooler. A customer contacted our company and complained about bad cooling. We are always ready to help our commercial colleagues, so we sent our experienced specialist to the customer the same day. Upon arrival, he performed a quick search and found that the walk-in cooler had trouble with defrosting. The evaporator unit Heatcraft was frozen over and covered with ice. It could be challenging to determine the root cause of the issue as the defrost system consists of several parts. Ice buildup and defrosting problems may be caused by a malfunctioning defrost thermostat, broken heater, or faulty defrost timer.
